Individual Therapy for Adults, Children, and Couples
Adults
I work with individuals facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, anger, and trauma. I believe therapy is most effective when it blends collaboration with expert guidance. I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore your inner world. My approach is compassionate and client-centered, but I also take an active role in providing direction and insight to help you achieve your therapeutic goals.
Child Play Therapy
Through play, children can express complex emotions and experiences that they might not be able to verbalize, helping therapists understand their inner world. This is particularly important for those who have experienced trauma or significant life changes.
Engaging in play helps children develop problem-solving skills and learn how to navigate social situations and conflicts effectively. For teens, I incorporate techniques that align with their developmental stage, facilitating communication and emotional processing in a safe and supportive environment.
Play therapy often includes separate parenting sessions to help guide the therapeutic processes throughtout.
Couples Therapy
I also offer couples therapy to help partners improve their communication, resolve conflicts, and strengthen their relationships. I help couples explore underlying issues and patterns that may be affecting their relationship. My goal is to provide a supportive space where both partners feel heard and understood, and to facilitate healthier and more constructive ways of relating to each other.
About Me.
Hi! My name is Jean Vignola, and I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor Intern dedicated to helping you navigate the complexities of life and achieve your personal goals. I hold a Master's of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Capella University and a Bachelor of Arts, Psychology from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV).
My training includes extensive experience in the psychodynamic approach, which focuses on understanding the deep-seated roots of your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, allowing for profound and lasting change. By examining your past experiences and relationships, we can uncover patterns that may be holding you back. My goal is to help you gain insight into these and develop healthier ways of relating to yourself and others.
In addition to working with adults, I specialize in play therapy with children. This therapeutic approach uses the natural medium of play to help children and teens express their feelings, explore relationships, and resolve conflicts. Play therapy provides a safe and supportive environment where children can work through emotional and behavioral issues in a way that is natural and comfortable for them.
